Design Book Club: Listening to Stone - The Art & Life of Isamu Noguchi

  • Peachtree Branch of the Fulton County Library 1315 Peachtree Street Northeast Atlanta, GA, 30309 United States (map)

About the Event:

Join us at the Peachtree Branch Library at 12 p.m. on the first Friday of each month for a lively discussion of books that explore how design shapes our world. Hosted by MODA and the library, conversations are led by MODA staff or guest experts. If you like, bring your lunch (no red beverages, please) and dive into fresh perspectives on design!

This May, we delve into Listening to Stone: The Art and Life of Isamu Noguchi by Hayden Herrera, compulsively readable biography of one of the twentieth century's most important artists. Read the book just in time to take in the High Museum of Art’s exhibition, “Isamu Noguchi: I Am Not a Designer,” on view from April 10-August 2, 2026.

This book can be borrowed through Fulton County library system or purchased in MODA’s Design Shop.

No registration is necessary. Just read the book and join us for a discussion!
