About the Event:

Love patterns, texture, and hands-on design? This workshop is for you!

Join us for MAKE @ MODA: Printed Patterns, a hands-on workshop exploring the fundamentals of printmaking and pattern design. Together, we’ll explore how designers use repetition and surface to create impact. We’ll also focus on using everyday accessible tools for printmaking.

During the workshop, you’ll carve your own patterns into foam blocks. Then we’ll transfer your design into original prints on paper. Along the way, you’ll use relief printing skills and discover how designers use patterns to communicate ideas, feeling, and shape visual identity.

What to Expect:

  • Hands-on introduction to block printing

  • Tips on designing for repetition, symmetry, and texture

  • Time to experiment and create multiple prints to take home

  • Inspiration from artists and designers who use pattern in their work

This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in surface design, handmade processes, or creative experimentation. You’ll leave with a small collection of prints and the foundational skills to keep printing at home.
