Digital Art Studio: Winter Wonderlands


Virtual | Ages 12 – 17

Join MODA for a virtual Afterschool Studio and explore winter landscapes through digital art!

In this virtual studio, young designers will jump into creating majestic winter scenes, including snow-capped mountains, serene forests, and countryside landscapes blanketed in snow. Young designers will learn how to use MediBang Paint to practice their skills in making detailed elements such as snow-covered trees, foliage, and wildlife. Students will also experiment with winter hues to bring their digital landscapes to life.


In This Afterschool Studio, students will . . .

  • Introduce digital painting and landscape art using MediBang Paint.

  • Learn techniques for creating snow textures and winter scenes.

  • Transform ideas from sketches to digital art. 

  • Use color theory with a focus on winter hues.

  • Provide a space to share and provide constructive feedback

  • Practice collaboration, inclusivity, creative courage, imaginative problem-solving, storytelling, and critical thinking

Requirements:

  • A computer or tablet with internet access

  • Zoom

  • MediBang Paint Pro software pre-installed (it’s free!)


    A digital drawing tablet is optional, but it makes for easier creating
