Digital Art Studio: Magical Kingdoms

Virtual | Ages 12 – 17

Join MODA for a virtual Afterschool Studio and design medieval castles and fantasy fortresses!

In this virtual studio, young designers will explore the architectural elements that define medieval castles, such as moats, towers, and battlements. Then using MediBang Paint, they'll design fortresses inspired by their imagination. Throughout the class, they'll learn techniques to add details of historical and fantastical lore.

In This Afterschool Studio, students will . . .

  • Discuss basic principles of architectural design

  • Use elements of medieval and fantasy architecture, such as designing towers, walls, etc.

  • Transform ideas from sketches to digital art

  • Provide a space to share and provide constructive feedback

  • Practice collaboration, inclusivity, creative courage, imaginative problem-solving, storytelling, and critical thinking

Requirements:

  • A computer or tablet with internet access

  • Zoom

  • MediBang Paint Pro software pre-installed (it’s free!)

A digital drawing tablet is optional, but it makes for easier creating
