About the Event:

Join Tom Simons, founder of Lewis Pogue Chocolate, for an evening where taste and design come together. You’ll be guided through a curated tasting of three organic, small producer wines, informed by the experts at Sidetracked Wine Co., each paired with Lewis Pogue handcrafted chocolates.

Come early to enjoy MODA’s current exhibition, THE HOODIE: Identity. Power. Protest. to add even more flavor to the experience!

In this immersive session, you’ll:

  • Explore how flavor, texture, and aroma mirror the principles of design—balance, contrast, and harmony

  • Taste several distinct wines, each paired with a chocolate crafted to complement and elevate it

  • Learn how Lewis Pogue approaches chocolate as both art and design, transforming a simple ingredient into an extraordinary experience

  • Learn more about Sidetracked Wine Co. and how the particular wines were chosen, where they were produced, and what features made them ideal for pairing with chocolate

  • Discover new ways to think about pairing food and drink as a designed encounter for the senses

This is more than a tasting—it’s a lesson in how design can be experienced on the palate.
