A Talk and Book Signing with Stuart Noel, Ph.D.
About the Event:
Celebrate the Atlanta Design Festival and We Want More History Day with MODA as we learn about the design and history of the Reid House Condominiums, a 10-story Neo-Classical and Georgian Revival landmark just across the street from the museum, designed by Philip Trammell Shutze and Neel Reid.
Stuart Noel, Ph.D., has spent years researching the Reid House. In this talk, he will share the stories behind one of Atlanta’s most historic and elegant buildings—from its 1924 origins as the Garrison Luxury Apartments to its 1974 transformation into Reid House Condominiums—drawing on original architectural drawings and archival material. He’ll also share the process by which he wrote the newly released book, The Reid House: Atlanta's Finest Apartment Building (available in MODA's Design Shop), and sign books after the talk.
