About the Event:

Have you ever walked the streets, gazing up at the sky, and wondered who designed the buildings around you?

Join us for a curator-led tour of Defining Skylines: John Portman and the Architectural Evolution of Downtown Atlanta at Georgia Tech Library. This is a great opportunity for members and a guest to meet the exhibition team, connect with fellow design enthusiasts, and explore the fascinating connections between architecture, exhibitions, history, and archives. MODA is collaborating with Georgia Tech to bring you an elevated experience.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • A Guided Tour: Hear from exhibition experts about the extraordinary life and work of John Portman, the visionary architect behind many of Atlanta’s most iconic buildings.

  • Meet the Experts: Take the chance to meet the curator, exhibition designer, and archivist for Defining Skylines. Learn about how the exhibition developed, was designed, and is shared with the public.

  • Connect with Other Design Enthusiasts: Gather with like-minded individuals to gain firsthand knowledge and insights. Discover more about the Price Gilbert Library and the history of the Georgia Tech campus.

As a member, you're welcome to bring a guest and enjoy engaging insights throughout this curated experience. The Library’s first-floor Exhibits Gallery is located in the Price Gilbert building, adjacent to the Cherry Street entrance. The 1,500-square-foot gallery provides a dedicated space for exhibits. We encourage you to arrive early.

Please note that space is limited, so be sure to secure your spot and that of your guest today! *Limit 2 tickets per member.
