This Jane’s Walk, taking place in Downtown, focuses on themes of art, architecture, history, and culture.

Join Lauren Holley of Atlanta Urban Photo Walkers for a street photography walking tour. You’ll explore and photograph eight historic buildings in the heart of Downtown Atlanta. All of the buildings were built between the late 1890’s and mid-1930s and are still thriving today.


We’ll begin at the oldest and most iconic of all, the Flatiron Building (est. 1897) at the intersection of Peachtree St & Auburn Ave/Luckie St.

All ages, cameras, and levels of experience are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. This walk will take place rain or shine. Please arrive on time; late arrivals will be left behind.


The Details

  • Distance of Walk: 1.25 miles

  • Getting There: Street parking is free on Sundays and there are various paid parking decks nearby. Five Points and Peachtree Center MARTA stations are both a short 5 minute walk. The Atlanta Streetcar has 2 stops just across the street (Woodruff Park & Park Place).

  • Accessibility: This walk is covers bumpy paved terrain. Wheelchair accessibility may be limited.

  • What to wear and bring: A light and small camera with a wide or normal focal range that is easy to carry around and does not need a tripod, is recommended. Wear comfortable walking shoes, and consider sunscreen!
