Digital Art Studio: Sunny Days

Virtual
Ages 12–18

Join MODA for a virtual studio in which students will create a sunny beach scene, pool day, road trip moment, or summer adventure.

In this virtual studio, young designers will explore how digital artists use warm palettes, lighting, and composition to capture the spirit of summer. Students will choose their scene, sketch a layout, and use Medibang Paint Pro tto build an illustration filled with movement, emotion, and color. They may include beach umbrellas, waves, surfboards, cars, pools, swimmers, or any details that bring their summer story to life. At the end of the studio, students can share their work and receive feedback in a supportive environment.

In this Afterschool Studio, we’ll:

  • Study how lighting and color choices shape the feeling of a summer scene

  • Experiment with sketching beach, pool, road trip, or adventure moments

  • Use Medibang Paint Pro to illustrate a summer environment

  • Practice digital painting techniques that bring energy to a space

  • Provide a space to share and provide constructive feedback

  • Practice collaboration, inclusivity, creative courage, imaginative problem-solving, storytelling, and critical thinking
