About This Camp
Explore how three dimensional design and sculpture shape the way people experience Atlanta’s public spaces, neighborhoods, and cultural landmarks. Campers will learn how artists, architects, and designers use form, material, and scale to tell stories, create gathering places, and activate the city. Through hands-on design challenges, they will reimagine Atlanta’s parks, plazas, and streets as spaces for connection, creativity, and community identity.
Campers will learn to:
Develop sculptural concepts including public art, installation art, and three dimensional design
Experiment with materials such as cardboard, wire, and found objects to build three-dimensional forms
Consider scale, balance, texture, and structure when designing for public settings
Analyze how public art and installations influence how people experience a city
Create a finished sculptural piece that communicates an original idea
At the end of the week, parents and caregivers are invited for a showcase of the campers’ creations!
What to Bring:
Campers should bring a water bottle, snacks, and lunch.
Tuition: $450 | $350 for MODA Members at the Family & Friends Level or above

This class is a creative learning environment. All registrants agree:
to be respectful of others in all circumstances
to engage in collaborative practices with classmates and instructors
to only use appropriate language in verbal and written conversation
not to troll other participants and/or their design
MODA reserves the right to remove any participant immediately if they engage in any conduct that detracts from the experiences of other participants and is not in line with the purpose of the class.

Camp registrations that are canceled 2 weeks prior to the start of the session will result in a refund of the amount paid minus a $100 non-refundable registration fee.
No refunds will be available for cancellations less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the session.
MODA reserves the right to cancel any camp or program that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements.
