About This Camp

Explore how three dimensional design and sculpture shape the way people experience Atlanta’s public spaces, neighborhoods, and cultural landmarks. Campers will learn how artists, architects, and designers use form, material, and scale to tell stories, create gathering places, and activate the city. Through hands-on design challenges, they will reimagine Atlanta’s parks, plazas, and streets as spaces for connection, creativity, and community identity.

Campers will learn to:

  • Develop sculptural concepts including public art, installation art, and three dimensional design

  • Experiment with materials such as cardboard, wire, and found objects to build three-dimensional forms

  • Consider scale, balance, texture, and structure when designing for public settings

  • Analyze how public art and installations influence how people experience a city

  • Create a finished sculptural piece that communicates an original idea

At the end of the week, parents and caregivers are invited for a showcase of the campers’ creations!

What to Bring:

  • Campers should bring a water bottle, snacks, and lunch.
