Ages 14 – 18

About This Camp

Explore the intersection of sports, community, and design by reimagining how athletic spaces can serve Atlanta’s diverse neighborhoods!

From stadiums and skateparks to accessible playgrounds and fitness trails, teens will consider how well-designed sports environments promote wellness, equity, and connection.

They’ll investigate how sports shape urban life and design their own spaces that bring people together through play and movement.

Campers will learn to:

  • Analyze how sports and recreation impact public health, community engagement, and urban development

  • Study the design of athletic facilities, public parks, and community sports spaces

  • Learn how real-world examples in Atlanta and beyond are making communities more liveable and more fun

  • Create sketches and models for inclusive and innovative sports environments

  • Explore how design can make physical activity accessible for all ages and abilities

  • Tackle real-world challenges related to equity, access, and sustainability in athletic design

At the end of the week, parents and caregivers are invited for a showcase of the campers’ creations!

What to Bring:

  • Campers should bring a water bottle, snacks, and lunch.
