About the Event:
Join us at the Peachtree Branch Library at 12 p.m. on the first Friday of each month for a lively discussion of books that explore how design shapes our world. Hosted by MODA and the library, conversations are led by MODA staff or guest experts. If you like, bring your lunch (no red beverages, please) and dive into fresh perspectives on design!
On October 3, we’ll be asking how the buildings around us shape the way we feel? In The Architecture of Happiness, philosopher Alain de Botton explores the powerful connections between our surroundings and our inner lives. With elegance and wit, he invites us to consider how beauty, harmony, and design influence our well-being—and how architecture can make the world not just more functional, but more humane.
This book can be borrowed from through Fulton County library system or purchased in MODA’s Design Shop (arriving by September 1, 2025).
No registration is necessary. Just read the book and join us for discussion!
