LEGO® NATIONAL PARK

For Grades K – 5th

During this in-museum field trip, a MODA instructor will guide students through an exploration of how National Parks protect animals, plants, water, and land. Inspired by Public Notice: The 2025 U.S. International Poster Biennial, students will learn why parks are protected and how wildlife depends on safe habitats.

After learning what animals need to survive, students will take part in a hands-on building challenge using LEGO bricks. Students will design their own National Park built to support specific animals with spaces for shelter, water, movement, and safety.

Along the way, students will practice thinking like designers by using creativity, problem solving, and spatial thinking to explore how thoughtful design can help protect the natural world.
