Drink & Design with The Georgia Conservancy

On May 21, 2020, we talked to The Georgia Conservancy about their work fostering smart, resilient development across the state and enabling communities to grow while using fewer resources and disturbing less open space. Through their work, they offer technical and educational assistance on various topics, including community planning, housing attainability, greenspace and conservation planning, school siting, and urban design.
Nick Johnson is the Georgia Conservancy's Senior Planner and has led several projects, from county-wide housing assessments to small-scale neighborhood plans, paying special attention to each plan's practicality and legibility.
Luben Raytchev is an emerging planner and soon-to-be graduate from Georgia Tech who supports the team part-time with spatial analysis and creative graphics and visualizations.
Joel Jassu, an architect by trade and co-founder of Eight Village, Inc., has supported Georgia Conservancy projects through thoughtful visualizations of innovative community design and character.
