About This STEAM Storytime

Join the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) and the Fulton County Library for a playful introduction to STEAM—science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. MODA’s friendly educators will share picture books that show how everything around us is designed, from buildings and bridges to clothes, tools, and toys.

On September 18, we’ll be exploring the joy of imagining and building—from giant towers and cozy houses to forts made out of pillows. Children will discover how architects and builders turn ideas into real places to live, play, and dream.

What youth will gain:

  • An Exciting Introduction to STEAM — Through stories and playful exploration, kids will discover how science, technology, engineering, arts, and math shape the world around us.

  • Discover How the World Is Designed — Picture books introduce kids to the idea that everything — from bridges and buildings to clothes and toys — is thoughtfully designed.

  • Spark Creativity & Imagination — Children are encouraged to dream big, imagine new possibilities, and explore their own ideas through storytelling and discussion.

  • Playful, Hands-On Learning — Our educators make STEAM concepts fun and engaging, helping children connect what they learn to their everyday world.

Free | Registration is not required

  • This is held at the Peachtree Branch of the Fulton County Library at 1315 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30309.
