Graphic Design Studio: Magazine Covers of the Future

Virtual
Ages 12 – 18

About This Afterschool Studio

Join MODA for a virtual Afterschool Studio and imagine what the world might look like 1,000 years from now by creating a futuristic magazine cover.

In this virtual studio, young designers will explore the fundamentals of magazine layout, visual hierarchy, and the role of typography in storytelling. Then, they’ll use Canva to select a magazine template, customize it with futuristic fonts and filtered images, and experiment with grid-based design to bring their 3025 cover to life. At the end of the studio, students can share their work and receive feedback in a supportive environment.
