Selected Projects by WM Events
To launch MODA’s Inspiring Beauty exhibition, which celebrated 50 years of the Ebony Fashion Fairs that brought European fashions to the African-American community, WM Events rolled out the red carpet, and lots of it. Combining MODA’s signature color with the glamour of a Hollywood premiere, the preview party for Inspiring Beauty featured an outdoor lounge with glamorous white leather seating, twinkle lights strung throughout the trees, and a branded step-and-repeat draped in a silver and white backdrop. Inside, décor remained balanced with the exhibition’s stunning fashions, and DJ Mike Zarin provided atmospheric lounge sounds.
From transforming three event venues to converting a conference space overnight, WM Events had plenty of opportunity to showcase a variety of event features and trends at a three-day event for a digital software company. A sunrise run through Piedmont Park, a gospel choir, 3D printing classes, wearable technology lectures, racing simulators and more kept attendees entertained and interested. Décor highlights included 3D wall decals; crisp, modern seating with pops of bright color and messaging; an 18-ft. balloon wall and graffiti murals. At every step, catered fare complemented the distinct theme of the venue. A final bash featured helicopter tours, a seated dinner with elegant florals and an after-party casino with branded poker chips and cards.
While attending an Atlanta conference, a global company wanted to celebrate its subsidiaries and customers by inviting them to the most Southern event possible – a backyard barbecue at the World of Coca-Cola. Guests were greeted by a drumline and stilt walkers before entering the fully branded event, which featured rustic styling, games like Jenga and cornhole, and beer tasting. Subtly branded areas gave a nod to hosts, sponsors and partners. Amid wood picnic tables and blue gingham-topped highboys, 1,400 attendees celebrated family style at this friendly “neighborhood” event.
WM Events produced, managed and designed the 18th-annual Digital Ball fundraiser for TechBridge. An event that welcomed nearly 1,000 tech-savvy community leaders, the Digital Ball necessitated cutting-edge ways to wow the guests. By pairing innovative features like virtual assistant Bridget and a virtual reality experience with a dose of magic from mentalist Max Major, WM Events created an unforgettable evening that brought in more than $1 million for the organization.
When an LA resident wanted to host a surprise 60th birthday party for her girlfriend in Atlanta, WM Events produced a multilayered event that kicked off with a helicopter ride and rooftop landing followed by a party for 200 guests. The hardest part about this sophisticated evening for well-wishers from throughout the country? Keeping it all a secret! Thinking she was about to enjoy a private dinner, the guest of honor descended the spiral staircase to the 15th floor and stood in amazement as the curtains were drawn, revealing her family and friends waiting below. Glitzy décor, a Chanel-style cake and live entertainment completed the polished theme.
