Field Trip: Web Design (Grades 9-12)
There are not many people that aren’t on the internet daily. We use the internet to find businesses, products, and services. It might be said that websites are not only required to get the word about what you do, but they can also be a creative and constructive outlet for the designer behind the site. In this workshop students will learn how to make an interactive webpage, lay out a blog, or a creative playground! We will explore some tools that are available for creating content online.
Your students can choose one of the following:
Designing a personal blog using weebly, and then sharing something about yourself online
Designing a webpage is both interactive and animated to share something you think is cool
Creating a simple drawing app online
Learn skills in coding for websites like HTML, designing using images, buttons, colors and text, and general safety and responsibility creating content online.
Learn about how websites are used by different people.
Test their designs with other people and learn from the feedback they receive.
