Design Club Day: Owl Parade

The second Sunday of every month is Design Club Day at the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA). Join us on Sunday, July 14 for a day of owl mask-making and protective reflective gear-making in preparation for the second Parliament of Owls Lantern Parade happening in Midtown on July 27th at 9pm. Parliament of Owls is an owl themed lantern parade based in community participation. This event was created and conceived of by local artist Chantelle Rytter, who also started the Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade in 2010. More details about Parliament of Owls Lantern Parade can be found at www.midtownlanternparade.com.

Any guitar players in your family? Any music lovers? Before you leave MODA, you can also check out our new exhibition - Wire & Wood: Designing Iconic Guitars. The exhibit explores the basics of guitar design while considering how some guitars have become icons, how they reached this status, and how technology will affect the instrument in the future.

There is no charge for this event but we ask that you register in advance to help us plan for the day!
