In this workshop, students will learn the basics of digital embroidery. This technology is used in garment production, branding, and many different forms of product design. We will use digital software to design a graphic that can be converted into stitches and sewn into fabrics.
Things you’ll learn:
How to operate a digital embroidery machine
How to design a graphic for stitching
How to use open source software inkscape for graphic design
How to export files for embroidery machines
Participation and materials fee: $50 non-members, $45 for MODA members.
This workshop is great for ages 12-18.
