The second Sunday of every month is Design Club Day at the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA). Join us Sunday, June 9 for a day of Zine making. Come check out some zines, explore the purpose, history, design, and techniques of zine making...and then make your own using the materials we provide!
What is a zine? Zines are self-circulated, self-published, D.I.Y. (do-it-yourself) magazines that can be about anything. Often times zines are created to discuss issues, personal experiences, and share perspectives not expressed in mainstream media.
Before you leave, be sure to check out MODA’s current exhibition, Passione Italiana: The Art of Espresso. This exhibition will appeal to both design lovers and coffee enthusiasts alike. Beginning in Italy in the mid-20th century, this journey traces changes in industrial design and technology regarding coffee making across the decades.
There's no charge to attend, but we ask that you register in advance to help us plan for the event!
