Curious about how to design something that can be 3D printed?
Need a place to hide stash your secret stuff?
Join us for a class that will teach you how to use a simple CAD program to design an object to be 3D printed and how to prep your object for the printer. You can learn all this as you build a treasure box, embellish it, and design a locking mechanism.
You'll design your treasure box during our class time. Then, we'll 3D print it and have it ready for you to pick up in a week or so.
Some of the things you'll learn:
- How 3D printing works
- Fundamentals of a basic CAD program
- How to use CAD to design objects
- Efficient planning of order of operations in CAD design
- How to prepare files created in a CAD program to be 3D printed
- How 3D printing is changing design processes and how it's impacting our world
$35 for MODA members / $40 Non-Members
Fee also includes admission to our current exhibitions for the participant and one adult.
