The second Sunday of every month is Family Free Day at MODA! Join us on Sunday, December 9 and light up the holidays with circuit based projects.
At MODA, we celebrate design in all of its forms, and this Family Free Day we will be using design to make the world a better place with homemade innovations. Take the MODA challenge and create a basic wearable tech project that solves an everyday problem. Prototype a headband for bikers to wear at night. Make a pinky ring book light. The possibilities are endless with coin cell batteries, LED lights, and other prototyping materials!
Before you go, make sure to stop by the Design Bar and add to MODA’s Wishing Tree. Do you have a wish for your neighborhood, the nation, or even the world? Take a strip of paper, write down your wish, and hang it amongst others on the tree.
There's no charge to attend, but we ask that you register in advance to help us plan for the event!
Our Current Exhibition: Design for Good: Architecture for Everyone
While you're here check out MODA’s exhibition Design for Good: Architecture for Everyone. It offers people-driven, real-world stories about buildings that are designed and created with and for the people who use them. The exhibition will reveal a new understanding of the ways that design shapes our lives. It will give interested citizens the tools to seek out and demand designs that dignify.
