What Is Your Story?

  • MODA 1315 Peachtree Street NE Atlanta, GA 30309 USA (map)

There are very few burdens greater than carrying the weight of an untold story. People constantly have trouble finding their voice and sharing their stories for fear of being judged. Books, however, are the silent storytellers. During this event, you have the opportunity to share your anonymous story by populating a page or two in a book with a handwritten or drawn record of your life experiences.

Join us and create a book that will be part of the WHAT IS YOUR STORY? exhibition being organized by the designers at Spark Corps!

Registration fee includes all materials, admission to MODA’s current exhibition, Design for Good: Architecture for Everyone, and a local brew from our partners at Second Self (ages 21+)

$10 / $5 MODA Members

WHAT IS YOUR STORY? is an event, a window installation, and an interactive experience aimed at showcasing a small fraction of the many stories that real people all over the world are too afraid to say out loud. Spark Corps, a local Atlanta design nonprofit, is teaming up with MODA and BooknBrunch to host an event that will ultimately lead to an emotionally impactful exhibit at the Toronto Design Offsite Festival in January 2019.

The books created at this event will be flown to Toronto to be made into a window installation at Pandemonium Books as part of the Toronto Design Festival. Hundreds of viewers in Canada will be able to see your anonymous story and have the opportunity to write you a response on postcards provided at the exhibit!
