Learn how to design a game at MODA using Scratch, a blockly-based visual programming language that teaches students the basics of computer coding!
Scratch enables young designers to learn how to code using drag and drop blocks to form commands that make up the language that programs games. Young designers will learn how to use the scratch command to create various lines of code with different variables to collaboratively design and create a functional mini-game!
Some of the things students will learn:
- How computer coding works
- Blockly-based visual programming language
- How to use Scratch to create a functional game
$35 for MODA members / $40 Non-Members
Fee al so includes admission to our current exhibitions for the participant and 1 adult.
Parents and guardians, please feel free to drop off your young designers for the duration of the class or feel free to stick around, tour the exhibition, get work done, etc. There are multiple coffee shops and things to do in walking distance of MODA.
Cancellation policy: If you must cancel your plans, please notify us at least 7 days prior to the event start to receive a refund of the ticket cost minus a $10 processing fee per class. Refunds are not available if we are notified less than 7 days prior to the event start. Refunds are not available if you fail to notify us or attend the event. MODA reserves the right to cancel a program if registration for the event does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements. If MODA cancels a program, a full refund will be issued to all registrants.
