Designing for 3D Printing: Dinosaurs for Grades 3-6

  • Museum of Design Atlanta 1315 Peachtree Street Northeast Atlanta, GA, 30309 United States (map)

Learn how to design a dinosaur that can be 3D printed!

Our 3D printing classes  provide an introduction to designing in 3 dimensions. Students will learn to use basic CAD software to manipulate shapes, symbols and texts to design a dinosaur and prepare the file to be printed.

Once the class is over, we'll 3D print your castle and you can pick it up in a week or so.

You'll learn:

  • how 3D printing works
  • how 3D printing is changing design processes and how it's impacting our world
  • the fundamentals of a basic CAD program
  • how to prepare files created in a CAD program to be 3D printed
