Join us for an introduction to 3D printing with TinkerCAD class where you can design your very own custom robot to take into the real world with you! At the helm of your 3D printing adventure is 3D Printing Wizard/Knight/Ninja Neil Miller – who started dabbling in 3D modeling before he was 16 and has pursued the craft all throughout his life, in his work in game design, sculpture, and other creative pursuits. Once he got his hands on a 3D printer in ’05, he knew he had found his medium.
Neil’s just the kind of charismatic ace you’d want to learn from. He’ll walk you through the basics of the browser-based 3D modeling program Tinkercad and by the end of the class your robot creation will be ready to go to print, which is exactly what it’ll do. In just one to two week’s time you’ll be able to pick up your print at MODA and bring it into the real world with you!
$35 for MODA members / $40 Non-Members
Fee also includes admission to our current exhibitions for the participant and one adult.
