Join us on December 3 from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. as we illustrate circuits to create light-up holiday cards!
Over the past few years, conductive materials like paint, fabric, thread, tape, and pens are being used to make circuits in brand new ways. These materials are enabling mind-blowing potential for artists, designers, and crafters to make quilts that tell stories, illustrations that light up, and so much more.
So join us as we make holiday cards that light up! You’ll learn some basics of graphic design, while also exploring how circuits work as you make a light-up design!
Bring your ideas and we’ll light up your Kwanza, Christmas, Hannukah, Yule, or Winter Wonderland cards!
Participation and Materials Fee:
$25 for non-members, $20 for MODA members. This fee covers everything you need to create and bring home your own awesome cards: cardstock, conductive tape, coin cell batteries, and LEDs. It also includes admission to MODA’s current exhibition, Text Me: How We Live In Language.

Public Programming Designer: Jessica Lewis
With previous professional experience working as a user experience designer in Atlanta, Jessica brings a large participatory design toolset to MODA. She develops adult programming, runs corporate design thinking workshops, and co-designs interactive exhibits. She dedicates herself to creating inclusive spaces where people from all walks of life can express their design voice.
If you must cancel your plans, please notify us at least 7 days prior to the event start to receive a refund of the ticket cost minus a $10 processing fee per class. Refunds are not available if we are notified less than 7 days prior to the event start. Refunds are not available if you fail to notify us or attend the event. MODA reserves the right to cancel a program if registration for the event does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements. If MODA cancels a program, a full refund will be issued to all registrants.
