Does your young designer like to get hands on and create new and innovative buildings? In this class, your child will learn to think like an engineer by using the engineering design model to solve real world problems. Young designers will be given the opportunity to brainstorm solutions for building bridges that are long enough to cross a gap and structurally sound to hold a twenty pound weight. They will explore possible solutions to their challenges by prototyping and iterating their ideas. Young designers will work collaboratively to explore how different pieces and shapes interact and intersect together to form strong structures.
Designers will learn:
- Collaborative skills
- Problem Solving skills
- Engineering Design Process
