Learn the fundamentals of LEGO Robotics by building and coding with MODA! Using LEGO WeDo’s and Scratch (an online coding program), your child will learn how to explore and control the world around them using sensors that can measure distance and sense balance.
Some of the things you’ll learn:
- Understand how sensors function
- Develop collaborative skills by working in small groups
- Learn basic prototyping and iteration skills
- Develop basic coding skills using Scratch

Adriana joined the MODA team in January of 2017 with a vision to incorporate design thinking into classrooms and is in constant pursuit of new ways we can better educate students using the design thinking process. In the museum, you can find Adriana innovating and managing one of three programs Design Club, a free explorative design program for kids, and helping to coordinate and plan for campMODA year-round with expertise in LEGO robotics, and supporting in MODA's educational outreach program!
If you must cancel your plans, please notify us at least 7 days prior to the event start to receive a refund of the ticket cost minus a $10 processing fee per class. Refunds are not available if we are notified less than 7 days prior to the event start. Refunds are not available if you fail to notify us or attend the event.
MODA reserves the right to cancel a program if registration for the event does not meet the minimum enrollment requirements. If MODA cancels a program, a full refund will be issued to all registrants.
