MODA’s Teen Jam supports teenage designers as they explore design careers. Over the course of each academic year, those active in Teen Jam participate in field trips to designer’s studios and hands-on activities while also getting to know selected members of Atlanta’s broad design community. Through participation in Teen Jam, design-interested teens become more comfortable with their design voices — the very voices that will be used to create their own vision of the world — and start to chart a course into the future.

Upcoming Teen Jam Events
Join us April 22 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. to explore how designers think. Let's explore the way that designers create the awesome things that inspire us! There’s a method to the madness, and we’re going to dive right in to it!
Activism just met needle and thread! Kick your sewing up a notch, and learn about take-charge feminists along the way at #Stitch&Act: MODA’s cross-stitch design studio for tweens and teens.
Join MODA Teen Jam on May 12 from 1-3 pm as we explore a local maker space! This field trip will take us to Decatur Makers, where designers of all stripes bring ideas into reality.
If you’re interested in a design career, join us this summer for Teen Jam Summer Studio. We’ll be going on a week of field trips to different design studios in Atlanta. On these trips, you’ll talk to designers about their education and career path, you’ll learn about their work, try your hand at some design projects, and learn how to put together a portfolio.
