The Museum of Design Atlanta is conveniently located in the Midtown Arts District, right across the street from the Woodruff Arts Center at 1315 Peachtree St. NE Atlanta, GA 30309.
Hours of Operation
PLEASE NOTE: Our current exhibition, Making Change: The Art and Craft of Activism, will close at 6pm on Sunday, September 9. MODA will be closed for the installation of our next exhibition, Design for Good, from September 10 - September 22, reopening on September 23.
MODA's public hours are:
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday: 12pm - 6pm
- Wednesday: 12pm - 6pm
- Thursday: 12pm - 8pm
- Friday: 12pm - 6pm
- Saturday: 10am - 6pm
- Sunday: 12pm - 6pm
MODA does not offer designated parking, but we do offer a 20% discounted museum admission for patrons who walk, bike, or use public transportation to get here.
Public Transit (MARTA)
By train, take the North or South rail line to the Arts Center MARTA Station (N5), located directly behind the Woodruff Arts Center (handicapped accessible). Exit the Arts Center Station at the top level by the Peachtree St. exit. You are behind the Woodruff Arts Center. MODA is located directly across the street from the Woodruff Arts Center. Use the cross-walk at the intersection of 16th and Peachtree to get here. For more information on MARTA schedules, maps, and connections from other transit providers, please visit the MARTA website.
If you choose to drive, there are public parking lots located in the Midtown Arts district, as well as metered parking available along Peachtree St NE. The Lanier parking deck located at 1337 Peachtree St NE is the closest deck in walking distance to the museum. We're also active supporters of Uber and Lyft if you choose to hitch a ride.
Backpacks, Bags, and Strollers
Visitors will be asked to check backpacks, bags that are larger than 12″ wide x 15″ high x 5″ deep, as well as strollers and shopping bags at the front desk before entering into the exhibition.
All galleries and restrooms at MODA are wheelchair accessible. Additionally, MODA offers guided tours to groups or individuals with sight, hearing, or physical disabilities. Advance reservations are required.
