Scissors Obsession: Figure/Figuration
Sculptor Delona Wardlaw investigates manipulates and re-creates common, everyday objects as way of storytelling. Through her bronze pieces and assemblages she intends to uncover the layers of meaning held in each object. In this exhibition Wardlaw will explore her ongoing obsession with scissors as a tool, as a composition, and as a receptacle for memory.
The Art of Ichiyo Ikebana: Japanese Floral Design

The accomplished designer Akihiro Kasuya, Headmaster of the Ichiyo School of Ikebana, assisted by his son Naohiro, will create a site-specific display that examined the creative art of arranging for big spaces. The exhibit will provide insight into Kasuya’s creative process and to his unique way of constructing a gallery design that takes floral art to a high level of contemporary sophistication.
Observations on Japanese Architects

Observations on Japanese Architects hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina. This exhibition, curated by Argentine designers Norberto Feal and Anabella Gatto, is dedicated to the presentation of emerging Japanese architects and their work. The multi-media exhibition celebrates experimental and innovative methodologies undertaken in recent years. The observations are present through the grouping of projects into three typologies: “white/black”, “skin/metal”, and “classical/monstrous”.

Industrial designer and artist, Kristofer Laméy creates works of art through a delicate balance of hand and machine. Serving Form will showcase Laméy’s approach to his innovative site-specific work. October 26 through 30 Laméy will be demonstrating his work daily at MODA. Through demonstrations he will be able to show guests how his work performs in context.
