Making with WeDos, littleBits and LEGOs for Grades K - 2

This camp will be held from 9:00 - 12:30pm from July 17-21 at the First Presbyterian Preschool at 1328 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30309.

Is your rising 1st to 3rd grader interested in how things work? Do they like to make invent things and make them beep, whistle, move, or light up? Do they like to build with LEGO bricks?

campMODA will introduce them to the world of littleBits electronic circuitry kits, to LEGO robotics, and to the fun of Hexbugs.

Every morning of this camp will be filled with creative exploration as campers investigate the color-coded littleBits modules that snap together magnetically to create simple circuits and inventive projects in seconds. They'll explore how littleBits can interface with LEGO motors, sensors and other creative materials.

We’ll test creations with Hexbugs and anything else we can think of!

Skills campers will learn:

  • Basic circuitry
  • Basic robotic engineering
  • Programming principles
  • Fine-motor skills
  • Collaboration
  • Design thinking
  • Science, technology, engineering, math and design concepts

Enrolled in this camp before? No problem! We'll pick up where you left off so your camper can keep making and learning.

This camp is for grades K - 2 (ages 5-7).

$225 / $250 for non-members.

Please note: Camp member discounts apply only to MODA Family Membership levels and above.
