For students in Grades 3-7
Wednesday April 5, 2017 9:00am - 12:30 pm
Learn how to integrate real-world circuits with Minecraft's Redstone circuitry to span the digital divide! In this camp, students will learn how to connect their own real world cloudBits to virtual cloudBits in Minecraft. Once achieved, campers will break into design teams and collaborate in order to design the most epic cloudBit Redstone innovations their circuitry-building minds can generate. Press a button in the real world using littleBits and activate a redstone lamp in Minecraft! Or activate a littleBits buzzer using a Minecraft pressure plate. The possibilities are endless.
Campers will learn:
The principles of cloud computing
Redstone circuitry skills, one of the most advanced concepts used to operate mechanical mechanisms in Minecraft
Collaboration and Solution-Seeking
Resilience and Iteration
Design skills and Engineering
Enrolled in this camp before? No problem! We'll pick up where you left off so your camper can keep making and learning.
