cloudBits + Bitcraft (Grades 4 - 6)

cloudBits + Bitcraft (Grades 4 - 6)

Learn about the Internet of Things and kick your Minecraft skills up a NOTCH with the new littleBits cloudBit and bitCraft!

bitCraft is a form of modded Minecraft. Using the littleBits cloudBit, campers will learn to integrate real-world circuits with Minecraft's Redstone circuitry to span the digital divide. They'll design real world circuits that trigger actions in Minecraft and design Minecraft circuits that make things in the

real world do what they want them to do.

Skills campers will learn:

  • Understanding the world of the Internet of Things
  • Redstone circuitry (the power and computing side of electronic circuitry)

  • littleBits electronic circuitry

  • Collaboration

  • Design Thinking

$35 for MODA members / $40 Non-Members

Fee also includes admission to our current exhibitions for the participant and 1 adult.

*Young designers will be using MODA’s littleBits to build. If you want to continue this learning at home, we’re happy to make recommendations about appropriate littleBits sets that can be purchased for home use.*

**littleBits are color-coded electronic circuitry kits that snap together with magnets. littleBits circuitry kits empower students to engineer real world solutions through invention, to kickstart their creativity, and to develop creative confidence through STEAM learning. Our littleBits classes meet Next Generation Engineering Design Standards and Common Core standards.
