The second Sunday of every month is Family Free Day at the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA). And this December, we want more coders, Atlanta! Join us Sunday, December 10 and participate in an Hour of Code with MODA.
At MODA, we celebrate design in all of its forms, and this Family Free Day, we’re hosting an Hour of Code in honor of Computer Science Education Week (December 4 - 10). Held in recognition of the computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hopper, MODA will join millions of coding enthusiasts in over 180 countries around the world for an afternoon of edutainment.
Want to join in on the fun? Come on down to MODA and grab a seat at the Design Bar. We’ll be setting up stations with interactive coding challenges featuring Minecraft, The Amazing World of Gumball, Moana, Star Wars, and more! Collaborate with family and new MODA friends as you experience the amazing possibilities of coding!
While you're here check out MODA's newest exhibition, Text Me: How We Live in Language, an exhibition that attempts to organize, express, translate, and reflect both how we live in language and how language now defines our lives. This exhibition does contain adult content, and parental discretion is advised. Please check in with MODA's front desk upon arrival for more information, or call 404.979.6455.
