Stop Motion Animation for Rising 2-4 Graders

This camp is held at MODA, 1315 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30309 from 9:00am to 12:30pm.

Always wanted to make a movie? Love telling stories? This week of claymation fun is for you!

Working with animation expert Ms. Claudia, campers will storyboard films, build characters and sets, shoot their film and participate in editing, and add voices and music. A week or two after the camp ends, camper friends and families will be invited in for a movie premiere. And every camper will get a copy of their film to take home.

This is a great opportunity for campers to learn new design skills, while tuning up their STEAM knowledge as well. They'll be working in teams, so they'll also practice their teamwork and collaboration skills.

Campers will:

  • Get an introduction to stop motion animation, film making, and idea creation
  • Practice story creation and learn about storyboarding and emotion characterization
  • Learn about character selection and construction
  • Work together to build sets
  • Learn to shoot group scenes and individual scenes
  • Do voice over for the scenes they create
  • Participate in film editing and become familiar with film editing software

This camp is for rising 2nd to 4th graders.
