Join us for Design Conversation on Tuesday, April 30 as Dr. Celia Pearce, Association Professor of Digital Media at Georgia Tech, gives a presentation from a chapter in the upcoming volume “Meet Me at the Fair,” a collection of essays on worlds fairs co-edited by Dr. Pearce.

While best known for its furniture and films, the Office of Charles and Ray Eames also made major contributions to innovation in exhibition design, particularly in world’s fairs. This talk will discuss the Eames Office’s work in worlds fair design, focusing on its thirty-year relationship with IBM and related collaborations with Eero Saarinen which resulted in several landmark projects.
